Bi-National Security Collaborative Meeting Held in Eagle Pass, Texas

A bi-national security collaborative meeting between United States and Mexican law enforcement agencies was held in Eagle Pass, Texas on Thursday, March 3, 2022 to exchange mutual programs of interest to combat international criminal activities.
Eagle Pass Port of Entry Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Director Paul Del Rincon welcomed the State of Coahuila Attorney General Gerardo Marquez Guevara and Coahuila Secretariat of Public Safety Sonia Villarreal Perez and Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber at the meeting.
Del Rincon also welcomed newly named Eagle Pass Port of Entry CBP Interim Director Gilbert Calderon, who will assume the leadership reins upon Del Rincon’s temporary assignment to the U. S. Department of Homeland Security headquarters in Washington, D. C.
Maverick County Sheriff Tom Bowles has also pioneered collaboration between the State of Coahuila law enforcement agencies and their American counterparts during his administration.
The meeting attendees discussed new programs of collaboration between Mexican and American law enforcement agencies to protect both countries from international criminal organizations.
The parties agreed to continue working together as well as support each other in their security programs.
