Eagle Pass Eagles Battle San Antonio Harlan Hawks in Bi-District Baseball Championship

The Eagle Pass High School Eagles Baseball Team will battle the San Antonio Harlan High School Hawks in a best of three series for the University Interscholastic League Region IV-6A Bi-District Championship on Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7, 2022.
The Eagles finished in second place in District 30-6A with a district record of 8-3 and overall season mark of 17-9 while the Harlan Hawks finished in second place in District 29-6A with an overall season record of 16-11 and a 13-3 district mark.
The Eagles and Harlan Hawks know each other as they recently played on April 22, 2022 in a non-district game with the Eagles beating the Hawks 10-5.
Game 1 of the best of three series is on Friday, May 6 at 7:00 p.m. at the Eagle Pass Independent School District Student Activity Center Leopoldo Moncada Baseball Stadium.
Game 2 is on Saturday, May 7 at 2 p.m. at the San Antonio Northside Independent School District Baseball Complex Field No. 1 in San Antonio, Texas.
Game 3, if necessary, is 30 minutes following Game 2 in San Antonio.
The Eagles team members include Donovan Becerra, Alex Paniagua, Hector Gomez, Luis Kancheff, Derek Ruiz, Isaac Stanwick, Tavare Chavez, Aidan López, Ramon Salinas, Mikey Kypuros, Robert De La Garza, Obie Martinez, Diego Martinez, Elizondo Mathew, Omar Rodriguez, Jose Hernández, Pedro Fernandez, Jose Duran, Izhar Mauricio, Jared Romero, Joaquin Olivas, and Zack Zapata.
The Eagles are under the direction of Head Coach Reynol Mendoza.
