Eagle Pass Lady Eagles Pitcher Larissa Jacquez Named 2022 District 30-6A Softball Most Valuable Player

The 2022 District 30-6A Softball Champion Eagle Pass High School Lady Eagles placed 11 players on the All-District Team honors, including standout pitcher Larissa Jacquez being named the District’s Most Valuable Player.
The Lady Eagles went undefeated 12-0 in District 30-6A en route to capturing the softball championship with the right arm and bat of Larissa Jacquez, who has committed playing college softball for the University of Texas at Arlington Mavericks in the fall of 2023. She has one year remaining with the Lady Eagles before taking her talent to UT-Arlington.
Also named as Most Outstanding to the 2022 District 30-6A All-District Team are Lady Eagles shortstop Karyna Perez, left fielder Valeria Vielma, catcher Shania Dunn, first baseman Sierra Torres, and third baseman Roccia Moreno.
Also named to the District 30-6A First Team All-District is Michelle Torralba. Named to the Second Team All-District is Lexi Gonzalez.
Receiving Honorable Mention All-District are Krysta Ruiz, Riley De La Garza, and Janel Ramos.
Lady Eagles head coach Oscar Ruiz was named the District 30-6A Coach of the Year for guiding the Lady Eagles to a perfect 12-0 district mark and an overall season record of 18-9-1.
