Fatal Motorcycle and Pick-Up Truck Accident Reported on El Indio Highway in Eagle Pass, Texas
Maverick County Sheriff’s Department reported a fatal accident involving a pick-up truck rear ending a motorcycle with driver and passenger on Sunday, June 5, 2022 near the intersection of El Indio Highway (F.M. 1021) and Loop 480 in Eagle Pass, Texas, resulting in the death of a female passenger on the motorcycle.
The motor vehicle accident occurred approximately at 7:20 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, on El Indio Highway in southern Maverick County.
The motorcycle female passenger died at the accident scene while the male driver was airlifted by helicopter to a medical facility in San Antonio, Texas with critical injuries.
The driver of the white Ford F-150 pick-up truck is a female and is reported to have been transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.
The identity of the deceased female motorcycle passenger has not been released due to pending notification of her family.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is handling the investigation of the fatal motor vehicle accident.
