Eagle Pass Cal Ripken Baseball Majors All-Stars First to Play in World Series in Branson, Missouri

The Eagle Pass Cal Ripken Baseball Majors (12 Under) All-Stars are the first Eagle Pass Majors team to qualify and play at the Babe Ruth Baseball, Inc.’s Cal Ripken Baseball Majors World Series at Branson, Missouri during August 3-14, 2022, announced Morris Libson, Jr., President of Eagle Pass Babe Ruth Baseball. “This is the BIG ONE,” said Libson after winning the Southwest Regional Championship on July 10, 2022.
Libson’s excitement is attributed to the Cal Ripken Baseball Majors Baseball World Series having a total of 16 teams participating, including eight Regional Champions from the United States and eight International Champions teams.
The Eagle Pass Cal Ripken Majors All-Stars first game is going to be in Pool Play on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 7 p.m. against the Missouri State Champion. Their second Pool game is on Saturday, August 6, at 2 p.m. against the Southeast Regional Champion. Their third Pool game is on Sunday, August 7, at 9 a.m. against the New England Regional Champion. Their final Pool game is on Tuesday, August 9, at 7 p.m. against Crown Point, Indiana. Depending on their Pool play record, Eagle Pass may advance to Bracket Play and then on to the World Series Championship game on August 13.
Although other Eagle Pass Babe Ruth Baseball All-Stars teams have participated in Babe Ruth World Series in different age brackets, none have previously qualified for the Cal Ripken Baseball Majors/70 World Series in Branson, Missouri. Cal Ripken Baseball in Eagle Pass was co-founded by Marcial Reyes and Morris Libson, Jr.
The 2022 Eagle Pass Cal Ripken Baseball Majors/70 All-Stars going to the Branson, Missouri World Series include Renato De La Garza, Jose Sanchez, Orly Chavarria, David Hernandez, Caleb Hernandez, Jay Jacquez, Mathan Cruz, Sebastian Camarillo, Robert Fernandez, Hiram Mauricio, Izzaiah Chavarria, and Jaime Garcia. Team manager is Robert De La Garza and assistant coaches are Jose Sanchez, Orlando Chavarria, and Morris Libson, Jr.
