2022 State of the Port of Eagle Pass to be held August 25th

The City of Eagle Pass and the Eagle Pass International Bridge System will host the 2022 State of the Port of Eagle Pass on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at the City of Eagle Pass International Center for Trade, 3295 Bob Rogers Drive, Eagle Pass, Texas, announced Homero Balderas, General Manager of the Eagle Pass International Bridge System.
The 2022 State of the Port of Eagle Pass will feature two panel discussions on the latest international trade imports and exports data that crosses through the Port of Eagle Pass and the future of the bustling Port of Eagle Pass.
Among the keynote speakers include Claudio Bres Garza, Secretariat of Economic Development of the State of Coahuila, Mexico, David Salazar of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Armando Taboada of the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Cesar Munoz of Constellation Brands, Ruben Garibay of Select Dedicated Solutions, and Raquel Espinoza of Union Pacific. Moderator will be Ken Roberts, President of WorldCity and Eagle Pass Trade Numbers.
This is the second annual State of the Port of Eagle Pass since its founding in 2021 by the Eagle Pass International Bridge System.
In 2021, the Port of Eagle Pass obtained a record $33.8 Billion in total imports and exports at the strategic and growing Eagle Pass, Texas port of entry. The top five trading partners at the Port of Eagle Pass in 2021 included Mexico as No. 1 with $33.78 Billion; Canada as No. 2 with $46.4 Million; China as No. 3 with $18.46 Million; Taiwan as No. 4 with $7.26 Million; and Japan as No. 5 with $4.28 Million.
During 2021, the Port of Eagle Pass had a total of $33.84 Billion of international trade cross through Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, including $23.35 Billion in Imports and $10.49 Billion in Exports. The top three products imported through the Port of Eagle Pass are commercial vehicles, beer, and passenger vehicles. The top three products exported are soybeans, corn, and gasoline.
