Maverick County Unofficial Final Election Results of November 8, 2022 Texas General Election

A total of 10,074 voters out of 34,000 (29.6%) registered voters in Maverick County, Texas cast a ballot in the November 8, 2022 Texas General Election.
Maverick County Election Judge Enriqueta V. Collett announced the unofficial final election results for Maverick County in the November 8, 2022 General Election at approximately 9:45 p.m. at the steps of the Maverick County Courthouse in Eagle Pass, Texas.
In the Governor of Texas race, Republican incumbent Greg Abbott received 3,860 votes (40.26%) while Democratic challenger Beto O’Rourke received 5,555 votes (57.94%), Libertarian Mike Tippetts had 67 votes (0.70%), Green Party candidate Delilah Barrios had 98 votes (1.02%), and there were seven write-in votes (0.07%).
For Lieutenant Governor of Texas, Republican incumbent Dan Patrick received 3,527 votes (40.41%) compared to Democratic challenger Mike Collier’s 4,876 votes (55.87%) and Lbertarian Shanna Steele had 325 votes (3.72%).
In the Attorney General of Texas race, Republican Ken Paxton received 3,326 votes (38.67%) compared to Democratic challenger Rochelle Mercedes Garza’s 5,063 votes (58.87%) and Libertarian Mark Ash had 211 votes (2.45%).
For State Comptroller of Public Accounts race, Republican incumbent Glenn Hegar received 3,233 votes (38.67%) while Democratic challenger Janet T. Dudding had 4,637 votes (55.01%) and Libertarian V. Alonzo Echevarria-Garza had 559 votes (6.63%).
In the Commissioner of the General Land Office race, Republican Dawn Buckingham received 3,291 votes (38.57%) compared to Democrat Jay Kleberg’s 4,881 votes (57.20%), Libertarian Alfred Molison, Jr. had 348 votes (4.08%), and there were 13 write-in votes ((0.15%).
For Commissioner of Agriculture, Republican incumbent Sid Miller received 3,294 votes (39.06%) while Democrat Susan Hays had 5,139 votes (60.94%).
In the Railroad Commission of Texas race, Republican incumbent Wayne Christian received 3,215 votes (37.51%) compared to Democrat Luke Warford’s 4,870 votes (52.32%), Libertarian Jaime Andres Diaz had 661 votes (7.71%), and Green Party Hunter Wayne Crew had 125 votes (1.46%).
For the Justice, Texas Supreme Court, Place 3, Republican incumbent Debra Lehrmann received 3,442 votes (40.70%) while Democrat Erin A. Nowell had 4,718 votes (55.79%), and Libertarian Thomas Edward Oxford had 297 votes (3.51%).
In the Justice, Texas Supreme Court, Place 5, Republican Rebeca Huddle received 3,551 votes (42.36%) compared to Democrat Amanda
Reichek’s 4,831 votes (57.64%).
For the Justice, Texas Supreme Court, Place 9, Republican incumbent Evan Young received 3,160 votes (37.30%) while Democrat Julia Maldonado had 5,312 votes (62.70%).
In the Judge, Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, Place 5, Republican Scott Walker received 3.405 votes (40.02%) compared to Democrat Dana Huffman’s 5,104 votes (59.90%).
For Judge, Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, Place 6, Republican Jesse F. McClure, III received 3,194 votes (39.05%) while Democrat Robert Johnson had 5,288 votes (60.95%).
In the Member, State Board of Education, District 1 race, Republican Michael “Travis” Stevens received 3,194 votes (36.65%) compared to Democrat Melissa N. Ortega had 5,521 votes (63.35%).
For State Senator, District 19, Republican Robert Garza received 3,357 votes (37.30%) while Democrat incumbent Roland Gutierrez had 5,642 votes (62.70%).
In the State Representative, District 74 race, Republican Katherine Parker received 2,897 votes ((30.41%) compared to Democrat incumbent Eddie Morales, Jr. had 6,642 votes (69.59%).
For Justice, Texas Fourth Court of Appeals, Place 6, Republican Todd McCray received 3,040 votes (34.42%) while Democrat incumbent Irene Rios had 5,793 votes (65.58%).
In the Justice, Texas Fourth Court of Appeals, Place 7, Republican incumbent Lori I. Valenzuela received 3,215 votes (36.48%) compared to Democrat Rebecca “Beckie” Palomo had 5,598 votes (63.52%).
For Maverick County Judge, Republican Armando Rosales received 2,706 votes (27.81%) while Democrat Ramsey English Cantu had 7,026 votes (72.19%).
In the Maverick County District Clerk race, Republican Teresa Helena Gonzalez received 3,341 votes (36.40%) compared to Democrat incumbent Leopoldo “Polo” Vielma had 5,837 votes (63.60%).
For Maverick County Treasurer, Republican Oscar E. Rodriguez received 3,545 votes (38.71%) while Democrat incumbent Rito J. Valdez had 5,612 votes (61.29%).
In the Maverick County Commissioner, Precinct 2 race, Republican Jose F. Rodriguez received 510 votes (28.56%) compared to Democrat Rosanna “Roxi” Rios had 1,276 votes (71.44%).
For Maverick County Commissioner, Precinct 4, Republican Alma Soliz received 867 votes (34.62%) while Democrat incumbent Roberto Ruiz had 1,637 votes (65.30%).
In the Maverick County Justice of the Peace, Precinct No. 1, Republican Anna Gabriela Derbez received 774 votes (30.52%) compared to Democrat incumbent Kina Mancha had 1,762 votes (69.48%).
For Maverick County Justice of the Peace, Precinct No. 3, Place 1, Republican Mark J. Garcia received 684 votes (27.70%) while Democrat incumbent Domingo “Mingo” Rodriguez, Jr. had 1,785 votes (72.30%).
In the Maverick County Justice of the Peace, Precinct No. 4, Republican Antonio “Tony” Garcia received 731 votes (29.58%) compared to Democrat incumbent Tere Hernandez had 1,740 votes (70.42%).
The following candidates were unopposed and declared elected according to state law:

District Judge, 293rd Judicial District Court (Dimmit, Maverick, and Zavala Counties), Democrat incumbent Maribel Flores;
District Judge, 365th Judicial District Court (Dimmit, Maverick, and Zavala Counties), Democrat incumbent Amado J. Abascal;
Maverick County Clerk, Democrat incumbent Sara Montemayor;
Maverick County Justice of the Peace, Precinct No. 3, Place 2, Democrat incumbent Jeannie F. Smith; and
Maverick County Constable Precinct No. 1, Unexpired Term, Democrat Cecy Maldonado.
