Judith A. Canales Leads Panel Discussions at RAISE Texas Summit 2023 hosted by Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas

Eagle Pass-Maverick County Economic Development Alliance Executive Director Judith A. Canales was invited to lead and present in two panel discussions at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas’ RAISE Texas Summit held on March 2-3, 2023 in Dallas, Texas.
RAISE Texas Summit 2023 Connect to Effect: Building an Equitable Financial Ecosystem for Texans is a two day conference hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas to share and learn new developments about building an equitable financial ecosystem that works for all Texans.
Canales led a panel discussion on Thursday, March 2, 2023, regarding the Texas Legislative Session currently in session in Austin, Texas and proposed legislative bills affecting equitable financial ecosystems for all Texans.
On Friday, March 3, Canales moderated a panel discussion regarding the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and new funding opportunities for asset building for Texans, including homeownership and small business development.
The two day equitable financial summit hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is a statewide conference of leaders working for nonprofit service providers, banks and credit unions, foundations, employers, financial technology industry, community development organizations, local government, and workforce development groups.
Canales is recognized as an economic development and community development expert arising from many years of working in local, state, and federal government posts, nonprofit economic development organizations, and academic studies.
