In Loving Memory of Delfino Maldonado, Jr.
Eagle Passans mourn the passing of renowned former Eagle Pass High School Eagles baseball, basketball, and football standout Delfino Maldonado, Jr. at the age of 65 on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.
Maldonado was a beloved husband, father, brother, and caring citizen. He had an infectious smile and a warm and loving personality.
He is survived by his beautiful high school sweetheart and wife, Cynthia Moncada Maldonado, four sons including Delfino Maldonado III (Zenayda Brandt), Andres Maldonado (Mariana), Rolando Rene Maldonado (Anissa), and Cristian Maldonado, four sisters including Leticia M. Estrada, Sonia M. Cruz, Mary M. Dzierzanowski, and Norma M. Wrightman, and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, from 2 pm to 6 pm at Yeager Barrera Mortuary, 1613 Del Río Blvd., Eagle Pass, Texas.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, with a mass at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church at 12:30 pm and interment following mass at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Cemetery in Eagle Pass, Texas.
He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and community.
