*PRESS RELEASE*
EAGLE PASS, TX – After a thorough and thoughtful selection process, the City of Eagle Pass is pleased to announce the appointment of Amy Gonzalez as the new Chief of Police. Her selection comes after months of careful review and interviews with eight highly qualified candidates, including three current employees of the Eagle Pass Police Department.
To ensure a wide and diverse applicant pool, the position was left open for an extended period. This allowed the City to take the necessary time to evaluate each candidate’s experience, leadership ability, and commitment to community-focused policing.
