Eagle Pass City Council Election is Saturday, May 3rd at Cruz Antonio Munoz Gymnasium

After a week of Early Voting during April 22-29, 2025, a total of 3,231 registered Eagle Pass voters cast their ballots for the critical Eagle Pass City Council Election of May 3, 2025, featuring three seats on the City Council including Mayor, City Council Place 2, and City Council Place 4. Only 17.30 percent of the 18,667 registered voters cast their ballots during Early Voting.
Eagle Pass voters have one final opportunity to exercise their vote on Regular Election Day on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Cruz Antonio Munoz Gymnasium, 2086 Roosevelt Street, Eagle Pass, Texas 78852.
Vying for the Mayor’s position of Eagle Pass are Jesus Casas, CPA, City Councilwoman Monica J. Cruz, and Aaron Valdez, Chairman of the Maverick County Hospital District Board of Directors. For City Council Place 2, City Councilman Elias Diaz seeks reelection to a second term and is being challenged by businessman Jorge Sierra. In the City Council Place 4 race, three candidates are seeking the position including local teacher Jessica Rey Ramon, attorney Alberto Rodriguez, and nurse anesthetist Hanson Uy Tesy.
The City of Eagle Pass and its taxpayers are facing key issues that require independent, mature and experienced leaders with an innovative vision and plan to genuinely improve the quality of life for all residents. The next set of City leaders must be passionate about serving the best interests of the City taxpayers, not special interests.
All registered Eagle Pass voters who have not yet voted during Early Voting are highly encouraged to take only 15 minutes of your time to come out to vote and cast your ballot for the candidates of your choice. Bring your spouse, partner, children, parents, grandparents, children, co-workers, family, neighbors, and friends to vote on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Your vote is your voice.
