Bridging Communities Through Conversation and Service: A Powerful Day for Eagle Pass Rotary
EAGLE PASS, TX & PIEDRAS NEGRAS, MX — On a day marked by unity, service, and meaningful dialogue, the Eagle Pass Rotary Club proudly participated in two events that exemplified the spirit of collaboration—locally and across borders.
The morning began at Denny’s with “Coffee with the City Manager,” a grassroots initiative aimed at fostering open communication between city leadership and the residents of Eagle Pass. Mayor Aaron Valdez, along with City Manager Homero Balderas, engaged in thoughtful conversation with community members, addressing questions, sharing updates, and listening to ideas for progress.
“It was a symbol of transparency, accessibility, and the power of community dialogue. We’re honored to represent the Rotary Club at events like this that help shape a better Eagle Pass.”
With a warm, welcoming atmosphere, attendees appreciated the opportunity to share perspectives directly with city leaders—one coffee cup at a time.
Later that evening, the Rotary spirit traveled across the border to Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico for the grand opening of the new Casa Club of Club Rotario Misión 2 Años. The event celebrated the launch of a new chapter of service and collaboration, bringing together Rotarians from both sides of the border in a powerful show of unity.
Presidenta Dra. María Esperanza Chapa García and the Rotary Misión team welcomed attendees with warmth and hospitality, setting the tone for a night that celebrated shared values and international fellowship.
Both events served as reminders of the vital role that open dialogue and cross-border partnerships play in community building. Whether it’s sharing ideas over coffee or inaugurating a new hub for service, the Rotary Club of Eagle Pass remains committed to fostering connection, compassion, and change.
Let this day serve as a testament to what’s possible when people come together—with open hearts and a shared vision for a better tomorrow.
