2025 Winn Mavericks Football Schedule Announced

Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Mavericks Head Football Coach and Campus Athletic Coordinator Rene Ramirez announced the 2025 football schedule, featuring 10 games including two non-district and eight district games.
The Winn Mavericks will hold two scrimmages before kicking off the 2025 regular season. First, on Friday, August 15, 2025, the Mavericks will scrimmage against the Carrizo Springs Wildcats at Carrizo Springs, Texas at 6 P.M. at Joe Frank Carter Stadium. The second scrimmage is on Thursday, August 21, 2025 versus the Laredo LBJ Wolves at 6 P.M. at the Eagle Pass Independent School District Student Activity Center CozelFoster-Veterans Memorial Stadium.
The Mavericks first regular season game is the 19th Rivalry Meeting between the Mavericks and cross-town rival, Eagle Pass High School Eagles, on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 7 P.M. at the Eagle Pass Independent School District Student Activity Center Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium. The Mavericks will seek their first victory of the season and of this storied-rivalry against the Eagles. The Eagles rivalry game is a non-district game for both teams.
The second week of the regular season the Mavericks battle the Uvalde Coyotes on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 7 P.M. at the Eagle Pass Independent School District Student Activity Center Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium. The Mavericks will seek a win in their final tune-up and non-district game of the season to prepare for a highly competitive District 14-5A, Division I schedule.
The Mavericks kick-off District 14-5A, Division I competition in the third week of the regular season on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 7:30 P.M. against the Southwest Legacy Titans at home in the Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium.
The following week the Mavericks will enjoy an Open Week during the fourth week of the regular season and seek to make adjustments according to their strengths and weaknesses while preparing for a brutal seven consecutive district games schedule to close out the season.
After open week, the Mavericks will travel to San Antonio to play the San Antonio John Jay Mustangs in a district game during the fifth week of the regular season on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 7:30 P.M. at the Gustafson Stadium.
In the sixth week, the Mavericks will host the Laredo Cigarroa Toros on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 7:30 P.M. in a district game at Shirley Field. The Mavericks will seek to earn a win in “The Battle of the Bulls,” Mavericks vs. Toros.
In the seventh week, the Mavericks are set to battle the Laredo Nixon Mustangs on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 7:30 P.M. in a district game at the Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium.
For the eighth week, the Mavericks host the Laredo Martin Tigers in a district game on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 7:30 P.M. This game as been designated as Homecoming for the Mavericks.
In the ninth week of the season, the Mavericks travel up to San Antonio to play the San Antonio Southwest Dragons on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 7:30 P.M. at Frazier Field at Dragon Stadium in another key district battle.
On the tenth week of the season, the Mavericks will host the San Antonio Southside Cardinals in a district game on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 7 P.M. at Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium.
The Mavericks conclude the regular and district season in the 11th week traveling up to play the San Antonio South San Bobcats on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 7:30 P.M. at South San Stadium.
