Tejano Legends Chapter 26 Eagle Pass to Host First “Frontera Fest” on August 30th

The Tejano Legends Association Chapter 26 in Eagle Pass, Texas is hosting a community appreciation dinner, exhibition, and musical entertainment event called the First “Frontera Fest”on Saturday, August 30, 2025 starting at 11 a.m. at the Maverick County Junior Livestock Show Zan Matthies Showbarn in Eagle Pass, Texas, announced Oscar Gonzalez, President.
The Tejano Legends Association Chapter 26 in Eagle Pass is composed of Tejano recording artists, musicians, producers, news media, and interested persons in Tejano music. The local music association seeks to give thanks to all members of the community who have purchased the artists music, records, cd’s, merchandise, and attended their performances and dances throughout the years by hosting the First Frontera Fest on August 30th.
Local businesses, entrepreneurs, organizations, and people have donated multiple food and supplies to feed up to 1.500 persons for free on August 30th at the First Frontera Fest at the Maverick County Junior Livestock Show Zan Matthies Showbarn, including two steers and 12 Cabritos to be cooked and prepared by the world famous “La Asociacion de Parrilleros de Coahuila” from Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico.
The “La Asociacion de Parrilleros de Coahuila” will have a public exhibition of their world-famous cooking and Barbecuing techniques and equipment starting at 11 a.m. on the grounds of the Zan Matthies Showbarn at the Maverick County Lake. Members will prepare all the meat being served that day to the public. An estimated 1,500 free plates of food will be served to people with advanced tickets and on a first come, first served basis until the food supply is extinguished.
Live and DJ music will also be provided to guests of the First Frontera Fest on August 30th by members of the Tejano Legends Association Chapter 26 members and friends. The event is open to the public and family friendly. Admission is free.

The First Frontera Fest is open to everyone in Eagle Pass, Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, Del Rio, Brackettville, Uvalde, La Pryor, Batesville, Crystal City, Carrizo Springs, Asherton, Big Wells, and anyone interested in attending it. Stay tuned for more information.
