Suicide Prevention Walk
Eagle Pass residents are encouraged to come together for the Suicide Awareness Walk on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The walk will begin at the Eagle Pass Public Library parking lot and end at Plaza San Juan, symbolizing a journey of remembrance, awareness, and hope for the entire community.
This important event is being organized by The Support Hub, in partnership with the South Texas All Abilities Center (STAAC), the Eagle Pass Public Health Coalition, SAFE (Sexuality Advocates for Everyone), and Manos Unidas. Together, these organizations are uniting under this year’s theme: “Painting a Path of Hope.”
The walk is designed to shine a light on suicide prevention while honoring the lives lost and standing in solidarity with survivors and families affected. More than just a walk, it offers an opportunity to foster healing, strengthen connections, and remind those who may be struggling that help and hope are always within reach.
Participants will have the chance to win $1,000 worth of door prizes, making the event not only meaningful but also engaging for the whole community.
The Suicide Awareness Walk is free and open to the public, and community members of all ages are welcome to attend.
