U.S. Magistrate Judge Victor Roberto Garcia reappointed and sworn-in
United States Magistrate Judge Victor Roberto Garcia for the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, Del Rio Division, was re-appointed and sworn-in to a second eight-year term on Friday, April 8, 2011, at a ceremony held at the U.S. District Courthouse in Del Rio, Texas.
United States District Court Judge Alia Moses for the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, Del Rio Division, administered the oath of office and officially swore-in United States Magistrate Judge Victor Roberto Garcia to his reappointment.
Master of Ceremony was United States Magistrate Judge Collis White, who welcomed the guests and presided over the ceremony.
An invocation was presented by Deacon Manuel Limones of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Del Rio, Texas.

United States Magistrate Judge Victor Roberto Garcia was first sworn in on May 14, 2003 and reappointed on April 8, 2011. Judge Garcia is a graduate of Angelo State University and of the Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law. He was accompanied by his wife, Aide Garcia, daughter, Victoria Garcia, and family members.
A reception was held for guests after the swearing-in ceremony at the San Felipe Country Club, hosted by the Del Rio Association of Federal Attorneys.
