Mavericks Kick-Off 2012 Season Against Uvalde Coyotes this Friday

The Eagle Pass C.C. Winn High School Thundering Mavericks varsity football team kick-off the 2012 Texas High School Football Season this Friday, August 31, 2012 against the Uvalde High School Coyotes from Uvalde, Texas at 7:30 P.M. at the Eagle Pass Independent School District (EPISD) Student Activity Center football field.
The Mavericks are under the direction of Head Football Coach George Ruiz. Offensive Cordinator is Carlos Soto and Defensive Cordinator is Richard Treviño. Mavericks Assistant Coaches include Gustavo Varela, Rene Ramirez, Jose M.Hernandez, Reynold Jimenez, Fred Paniagua, Gabriel Hernandez, Christian Rodriguez, Ricardo Hoffman, Oscar Rodriguez, Juan Rosas, and Mario Martinez.
The Mavericks offensive machine will be led by Quarterback Jaime Vargas, Running Back Deion Alonso, Fullback Jorge Andrade, Wide Receivers Raul Tovar and Danny Hernandez, Tight End Emilio Hinojosa, Tackles Gabriel Gutierrez and Fernando Maldonado, Guards Cruz Gutierrez and Oscar Lara, and Center Kevin Canizales.
On defense, the Mavericks will be led by Safety Kevin De Luna, Inside Linebackers Erik Maldonado and Steve Garcia, Outside Linebackers Gabriel Molina and Chris Cantu, Defensive Ends Mark Perez and Lupe Lopez, Defensive Tackles Gilbert Rodriguez and Jose Luis Flores, and Cornerbacks Danny Hernandez and Gustavo Martinez.
The public is invited to attend the Mavericks game against the Uvalde Coyotes this Friday and cheer them on to victory.
The game will also be Parents Night and each Mavericks player and his parents will be honored during pre-game festivities starting at 6:30 P.M.
