Del Rio, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Eagle Pass Station apprehended a convicted murderer on Thursday.
Agents responded to a call for assistance, at the intersection of Luis and Roosevelt streets, by an Eagle Pass Police officer. The subject, Hernan Alvarado-Velasquez, 51, an undocumented immigrant from El Salvador, was found to be in the country illegally. Alvarado-Velasquez was arrested and transported to the Eagle Pass Border Patrol Station for processing. “Our encounter with this dangerous individual shows the type of environment agents and law enforcement officers deal with on a daily basis,” said Rodolfo Karisch, Chief Patrol Agent, Del Rio Sector. “We rely on the invaluable training we receive to protect our communities and the nation.”
