Texas Legendary Oilman C. C. “Charlie” Winn laid to rest at Winn Ranch in Maverick County

Texas legendary Oilman C. C. “Charlie” Winn was laid to rest at a solemn ceremony at 5:30 P.M., on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the Winn Ranch Cemetery in Eagle Pass, Maverick County, Texas, with over 200 persons in attendance to bid farewell to the caring and giving Philanthropist.
The Interment Service was officiated by the Reverend Dr. Bubba Stahl and was under the direction of Yeager-Barrera Mortuary of Eagle Pass.
Reverend Dr. Stahl told the Winn family and those in attendance that the ceremony was a celebration of the life of C. C. “Charlie” Winn and the beautiful legacy built by the legendary Texas Oilman made possible by his faith in The Lord.
The Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Mariachi Band played four beautiful songs in honor of their high school namesake and to celebrate his life.
The Eagle Pass Sacred Heart Church Choir also sang two emotional songs praising The Lord in honor of C. C. “Charlie” Winn.
The C. C. Winn High School Student Council and its President Alexa Villarreal presented a lovely gift to Mrs. Patsy Winn in memory of her beloved husband, C. C. “Charlie” Winn, comprised of a beautiful black-colored “W” wrapped in school colors silver and black ribbons and a photograph of the C.C. Winn High School.
Mrs. Patsy Winn addressed the people in attendance to thank everyone for their expressions of love and comfort to the family and told them that many of Charlie’s happiest moments were spent at the Winn Ranch in Eagle Pass and with the beautiful people of Maverick County.
Several family and friends also spoke at the ceremony sharing their stories how Winn influenced them in their lives.
Reverend Dr. Stahl read several scriptures from the Bible. Following the Interment Service, Dr. Stahl invited everyone to the Winn Ranch Family Home for refreshments and to visit with the Winn family.
