FIREWORKS PROHIBITED WITHIN CITY LIMITS
The City of Eagle Pass Emergency Operation Center kindly reminds the public that fireworks or firecracker are prohibited within the City limits and anyone in possession, displaying or igniting fireworks is subject to a fine of $200 and seizure of any fireworks in their possession.
FIREWORKS SAFETY TIPS FOR TEXANS (Residents outside City Limits)
For Texans who choose to use fireworks, the State Fire Marshal’s Office offers these tips to protect you and your family from fires and injury:
- Follow the law. Contact your local officials for information on burn bans and to find out which fireworks are legal in your area.
- Make sure an adult is present during fireworks use. Children should not handle fireworks.
- Do not drink alcohol before shooting off fireworks.
- Read all directions and warnings on individual products.
- Use fireworks on a hard, level surface.
- Use fireworks in a clear, open area. Never shoot fireworks indoors and avoid shooting fireworks in an area where there is dry grass or brush. Shoot fireworks away from homes and other flammable materials.
- Purchase fireworks only from a licensed and approved dealer.
- Do not point or throw fireworks at people.
- Have a bucket of water, garden hose or other water source available for emergencies.

Centro de Operaciones de Emergencia de la ciudad de Eagle Pass amablemente recuerda al público que fuegos artificiales están prohibidos dentro de la ciudad y alguien en posesión, mostrar o encendiendo fuegos artificiales está sujeta a una multa de $200 dólares y la incautación de los fuegos artificiales en su posesión.
CONSEJOS DE SEGURIDAD DE FUEGOS ARTIFICIALES PARA LOS TEJANOS (RESIDENTES FUERA DE LOS LÍMITES DE CIUDAD)
Para tejanos que deciden utilizar los fuegos artificiales, oficina del mariscal de bomberos de estado ofrece estos consejos para proteger a usted y su familia de incendios y lesiones:
- Sigue la ley. Para información sobre quemaduras prohibiciones y para descubrir que los fuegos artificiales son legales en su área, póngase en contacto con sus funcionarios locales.
- Asegúrese que un adulto esté presente durante el uso de fuegos artificiales. Los niños no deben manipular fuegos artificiales.
- No beba alcohol antes de disparar fuegos artificiales.
- Lea todas las instrucciones y advertencias en los productos individuales.
- Usar fuegos artificiales en una superficie dura y nivelada.
- Usar fuegos artificiales en un área claro y abierto. Nunca disparar fuegos artificiales en el interior y evitar disparos de fuegos artificiales en una zona donde hay hierba seca o un cepillo. Dispara a los fuegos artificiales lejos de viviendas y otros materiales inflamables.
- Compra fuegos artificiales sólo en un distribuidor autorizado y aprobado.
- No dirija ni lanzar fuegos artificiales a las personas.
- Tener una cubeta de agua, manguera de jardín u otra fuente de agua disponible para las emergencias.
