Eagle Pass Police Department Crime Report
Sunday, July 19, 2015, 1:16am: Officers assigned to the Eagle Pass Police Department Patrol Division responded to a bar on North Veterans Boulevard in reference to an assault. Officers spoke with an off duty Deputy who was employed as security for the bar at the time of the incident. Investigating officers were informed by the security officer she was assaulted by a female identified as 20 year old Suzette Gonzalez after the security officer informed her boyfriend to leave the premises after an altercation with another male. Gonzalez was arrested and formally charged with assault, presented in front of a magistrate and subsequently transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a $2000 bond.
Saturday, July 18, 2015, 7:25pm: An officer assigned to the Eagle Pass Police Department Patrol Division responded to the Kohl’s Department Store in regards to theft over fifty ($50) dollars. The investigating officer spoke with loss prevention personnel who informed that two (2) females ages 43 and 37 exited the store without making any attempt to pay for a combined $458.00 worth of merchandise belonging to the Kohl’s Department Store. During the investigation loss prevention personnel from the JCPenney Department Store arrived and informed the investigating officer the same two (2) females exited the JCPenney store without paying for $336.00 worth of merchandise belonging to the JCPenney Department Store. 43 year old Gloria Marcela Martinez Villarreal and 37 year old Ileana Lydieth Martinez Villarreal were both arrested for two (2) charges each of theft over fifty ($50.00) dollars. Presentation before a magistrate was made and each received a bond for $4000 for the theft at Kohl’s and one for $6000 for the theft at JCPenney.
