World-Famous Charcoal Grill Restaurant holds Grand Opening of First Franchise Restaurant in Eagle Pass, TX

World-Famous Charcoal Grill Restaurant, headquartered in Eagle Pass, Texas on the U.S.-Mexico border, celebrated the grand opening of the former family-owned restaurant’s first franchise outlet at 300 South Bibb Avenue, Suite H, in Eagle Pass. The new Charcoal Grill Restaurant opens to the general public on Tuesday, November 22, 2016.
Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce Vice-President Mike Garcia was Master of Ceremonies at the grand opening.
Charcoal Grill, Inc. Owner Guillermo Berchelman welcomed all the distinguished guests, family members, and press members to the grand opening. Father Armando Renovato of the Piedras Negras Cathedral presented the invocation.
Berchelman introduced the owners of Bres & Boone Enterprises, LLC, including Erika Rohana, Tanya Diego, and Carl Bres, who are the owners of the first franchise restaurant of Charcoal Grill located at 300 South Bibb Avenue in Eagle Pass.
Berchelman detailed the 67 year history of the world-famous Charcoal Grill from its founding in 1949 by Tom Witt and subsequent sale to Jack Brown in 1953 and Brown’s sale of the restaurant to Guillermo Berchelman in 1982 and Berchelman’s continued ownership to the present.
Eagle Pass Mayor Ramsey English Cantu welcomed back the opening of the Charcoal Grill Restaurant in Eagle Pass because many local and out-of-town diners have been requesting its re-opening after a few years of being closed. Mayor Cantu congratulated the new owners of the first franchise of Charcoal Grill Restaurant and the Guillermo Berchelman family on this new franchising endeavor.
An official grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony was held and family members and guests were treated to the first meals at the world-famous Charcoal Grill. Guillermo Berchelman noted that the Charcoal Grill is an institution and will always belong to Eagle Pass.
