Mexican Federal Customs Agent Gily Ajin Cordova sentenced to 12 Months in federal prison for transfer of firearms to prohibited person

Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico federal customs agent Gily Ajin-Cordova was sentenced to 12 months in United States federal prison with credit for time served for transferring firearms to a prohibited person by U.S. District Judge Alia Moses of the Western District of Texas, Del Rio Division, on December 1, 2016, in Del Rio, Texas.
Ajin-Cordova was arrested in Eagle Pass, Texas together with several defendants, including another female co-worker with the Mexican Federal Customs and a prominent businessman from Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico.
Ajin-Cordova plead guilty to federal criminal firearms’ laws by aiding and abetting the transfer of firearms to a prohibited person.
