Eagle Pass, TX Women’s March on Washington to be held Saturday, January 21st
Local civic leaders in Eagle Pass, Texas have organized an official Eagle Pass Women’s March on Washington to be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 2 P.M. at San Juan Plaza with featured speakers including Mayor Ramsey English Cantu, State Representative Poncho Nevarez, former Maverick County Commissioner Daniela Aleman, local entrepreneur Sandra Ruiz-Rodriguez, and keynote speaker Dr. Jonathan Hook.
Reverend Paul Bailie of San Lucas Lutheran Church will give both the Invocation and Benediction at the event while local singer Amanda Lee Martin will sing the National Anthem and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Eagle Pass Women’s March is an official affiliate of the National Women’s March on Washington, said Diana Perez Hardt, one of the organizers of the event.
The Eagle Pass Women’s March will start at Plaza San Juan and march down Madison Street to Main Street to the Eagle Pass Public Library. Speakers at the Eagle Pass Public Library include Ignacio Madera, Jr. and Diana Perez Hardt.
The Public is invited to attend this family-oriented event and admission is totally free. Join many Eagle Pass women, men, and children in the Eagle Pass Women’s March on Washington.
