Eagle Pass Independent School District Board Approves to Relocate District Service Center to Austin Elementary Campus

The Eagle Pass Independent School District Board of Trustees approved to relocate the EPISD District Service Center currently located at 1420 Eidson Road to Austin Elementary School Campus located at 587 Madison Street in Eagle Pass, Texas at their Regular Meeting held on Tuesday, June 14, 2017.
The relocation of the EPISD District Service Center to Austin Elementary School Campus located at 587 Madison Street in downtown Eagle Pass will require the remodeling and expansion of a parking lot at a cost of $373,515 as well as remodeling of Austin Elementary at a cost of $350,000, totaling $723,515.
Certain EPISD offices are already operating at the Austin Elementary School Campus, but the Board’s action is to relocate all of the EPISD District Service Center offices to 587 Madison Street in Austin Elementary.
The relocation of the EPISD District Service Center is expected to begin this summer of 2017.
In addition to approving the relocation of the District Service Center, the EPISD Board also approved a total of $1,629,677 for the construction of two new gymnasiums, one at Eagle Pass High School and one at C.C. Winn High School, at a cost of $1,235,549 and the renovation of the existing locker rooms at both local high schools at a cost of $213,861 for Eagle Pass High School and $155,267 for C.C. Winn High School.
The Board also approved $25,000 for the letters and signage of the newly dedicated Raul Gonzalez Fine Arts Building in the EPISD Student Activity Center.
