Eagle Pass Police Department Weekend Report
Friday, June 23, 2017 10:09 AM: Eagle Pass Police Officers responded to a motel business on South Texas Drive in reference to a suspicious person. Responding officers encountered an adult female outside the business near a garbage container who was partially clothed. The female appeared to be under the influence of an inhalant as she was holding an aerosol can in her hand and displayed signs of intoxication. EMS was summoned to the scene and transported the female to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for evaluation. Family members Were located and informed of the situation and Were to meet With the female at the emergency room. Investigators spoke with the female and determined that there was no foul play involved in this matter and concluded that she was under the influence of an inhalant.
Friday, June 23, 2017, 4:28 PM: Eagle Pass Police Officers responded to a residence in the Deer Run Subdivision in reference to a reported sexual assault of an adult female which occurred inside the city limits. Investigating officers took custody of 21 year old Mathew Aarron Olivares from Maverick County Sheriff’s Deputies who was later presented before a magistrate and formally charged with aggravated sexual assault. Olivares was later remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a $75,000.00 bond. This case is currently under investigation by the Eagle Pass Police Department Criminal Investigations Division.
Sunday, June 25, 2017, 2:36 PM: Eagle Pass Police Officers responded to a residence within the 200 block of Blanco Street in reference to a violation of a protective order. Investigating officers were informed by a female complainant that her husband had taken her vehicle and children without her consent. The vehicle and the male subject along with the children were located by responding officers within the 1800 block of Quarry Street. A computerized inquiry revealed an active protective order on the 36 year old male refraining him from contact with his wife or children. The 36 year old male was placed under arrest and is currently pending presentation before a magistrate to be formally charged with the violation of a protective order.
