Eagle Pass Police Department Officer Suspended Pending Investigation of Alleged Inappropriate Touching of Female While Off-Duty

The City of Eagle Pass, Texas Acting City Manager Ivan Morua announced that an Eagle Pass Police Department Officer has been suspended from employment pending the investigation of a complaint filed by a female that the Police Officer inappropriately touched her at a local bar while off-duty.

Acting City Manager Ivan Morua stated that the name of the Eagle Pass Police Officer will be withheld until the conclusion of the internal investigation regarding the merits of the serious allegations filed by a local woman.  Morua, however, stated that the City of Eagle Pass announced the Police Officer’s suspension for purposes of transparency to the citizens of the community.

Morua added that this particular suspended Eagle Pass Police Officer has a prior complaint against him unrelated to any inappropriate behavior with a female that is also being investigated by Eagle Pass Police Department Detectives.

The Eagle Pass Police Officer will remain suspended until the conclusion of the two investigations against him.
