David R. Saucedo and Other Maverick County Candidates Declared Elected as Uncontested Races

Incumbent Maverick County Judge David R. Saucedo and other Maverick County Candidates were declared “Elected” to their respective posts at the November 6, 2018 General Election due to not having any opponent against them.
County Judge David R. Saucedo bested two other candidates for the Democratic Party Nomination for Maverick County Judge in the Democratic Party Primary in March 2018 to earn the nomination in the November 6th General Election, but did not draw an opponent in the General Election to be declared the winner. County Judge Saucedo will be serving his third term of four years as the top politcal figure in Maverick County.
Other Maverick County public officials or candidates declared as Uncontested Winners at the November 6th General Election include Maverick County District Clerik Leopodo “Polo” Vielma, Maverick County Clerk Sara Montemayor, Maverick County Treasurer Rito J. Valdez, County Commissioner Precinct 2 Rosy Cantu, County Commissioner Precinct 4 Roberto Ruiz, Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 Kina Mancha, Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 Rosanna “Roxi” Rios, Justice of the Peace Precinct 3, Place 1 Domingo “Mingo” Rodriguez, Jr., Justice of the Peace Precinct 3, Place 2. Jeannie F. Smith, and Justice of the Peace Precinct No. 4 Tere Hernandez.
All of these candidates are members of the Democratic Party and are scheduled to take their oaths of office on January 1, 2019 to commence service of a four year term.
