Dear Citizens of Eagle Pass, Texas and friends of the Eagle Pass Little League Baseball:
The Eagle Pass American Little League Baseball issued a Press Release on June 28, 2019 announcing the names of the 10 and under (Minors) All-Stars and the 12 and under (Majors) All-Stars to the Eagle Pass news-media, including the Eagle Pass Business Journal and the News Gram using an article written by Conrado Perez Jr. Due to an honest mistake by the Eagle Pass American League we did not properly attribute and credit Conrado Perez Jr. and the author of the Press Release/Article. We failed to notify the Eagle Pass Business Journal and the News Gram. The Journal published our Press Release unbeknownst to them that Conrado Perez Jr. was the author of it. Upon notifying the Eagle Pass Business Journal of our mistake, the Journal immediately deleted our Press Release from its website and Facebook page. The Eagle Pass Business Journal did not plagiarize any article/press release written by Conrado Perez Jr. The Eagle Pass American Leagues take responsibility for releasing and distributing it to the local Eagle Pass news media without notifying them of Perez’s authorship. We genuinely regret any misunderstandings and inconveniences this may have caused Conrado Perez Jr. and the Eagle Pass Business Journal and News Gram.
We do, however appreciate all the local support provided to our Eagle Pass American Little League Baseball All-stars.
