Eagle Pass Independent School District Public Relations Director Daniella Byrne issued a press release to all local news media announcing that the formal ribbon cutting ceremony of the new District Service Center, located at 587 Madison Street, will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 5 P.M.

After a multi-million dollar renovation project of the former Austin Elementary School, the Eagle Pass Independent School District will open the new District Service Center to the public with guided tours of the newest facility after the ribbon cutting ceremony on July 30th. The ribbon cutting ceremony is open to the public.

Guests will have an opportunity to meet and greet the Eagle Pass Independent School District Board of Trustees and new Superintendent Samuel Mijares and the new Executive Board. Refreshments will be provided to guests.

Although some of the District’s executive offices have previously moved into the new District Service Center, all of the District’s executive offices will be operational at the new District Service Center by July 30th.

Superintendent Samuel Mijares invites the community, teachers, staff, students, and local taxpayers to join the school district at its grand opening of the new District Service Center on July 30th at 5 PM.

The new District Service Center is in the downtown area of Eagle Pass, across the street from the historic San Juan Plaza.
