Eagle Pass, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Eagle Pass South Station are searching for a 3-year-old boy reported missing after attempting to cross the Rio Grande River with his mother, Aug. 20.
“This is heartbreaking tragedy that occurs too often,” said Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Raul L. Ortiz. “Border Patrol agents are using all available resources in the search for the missing boy.”
At approximately 1:30 a.m., a group of 12 suspected undocumented immigrants were seen crossing the Rio Grande River near the Port of Entry.
