Rio Grande Electric Cooperative to Hold 74th Annual Meeting on October 12th
(Press Release) The emPOWER Summit, Rio Grande Electric Cooperative’s 74th Annual Meeting, will be held Saturday, October 12, at the SSGT Willie De Leon Civic Center in Uvalde, Texas. Co-op members are invited to attend the meeting, and enjoy a free catered BBQ lunch. This meeting is only for Co-op members and invited special guests. Children 12 and over are welcome, when accompanied by member-parent.
Doors open at 9:00 A.M., and the business meeting will begin at 10:00. For quick registration, bring a copy of an August, September, or October electric bill (paper or electronic). After registration, enjoy coffee and local pastries. All members registered by 10:00 A.M. will be entered for a chance to win one of over 100 door prizes, valued at over $17,000 to date, and the grand prize – a retired Ford SUV!
The Civic Center is a beautiful venue, located at 300 E Main. It is a local favorite for conferences and events. During large events, they have found it is best to keep the temperature in the building low, and RGEC is unable to make temperature adjustments. Those who tend to get chilly are encouraged to dress appropriately and bring a sweater.
