Eagles Pass Eagles Face Pharr San Juan Alamo Bears in Bi-District Football Championship

The mighty Eagle Pass High School Eagles will face the District 30-6A Champions Pharr San Juan Alamo High School (PSJA) Bears in the 2019 University Interscholastic League (UIL) 6A, Division II Bi-District Championship on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 7 P.M. at the Pharr San Juan Alamo Independent School District Stadium, located at 703 E. San Houston Street, Pharr, Texas, announced Eagles Head Coach Tom Gonzalez.
This year’s Bi-District encounter will be a rematch between the Eagles and the Bears from last year’s storied Bi-District match that went into overtime with the Eagles upsetting the District 30-6A Champion Bears by the score of 34-28 in Pharr, Texas.
The Pharr San Juan Alamo Bears are entering this year’s Bi-District playoff game with an overall season record of 7-3 and a 6-1 District mark, while the Eagles are coming into the game with an overall season record of 6-4 and 3-3 District record.
The Eagles defeated arch-rival Del Rio Rams 24-17 on November 8, 2019 in a thrilling game that went into overtime to earn the privilege to battle the PSJA Bears in the 2019 Bi-District Championship.
The PSJA Bears crushed the La Joya Juarez Lincoln Huskies 43-7 on November 7, 2019 to earn the District 30-6A Championship. The Bears will seek to avenge last year’s loss at the hands of the Eagles, while the Eagles will seek to repeat last year’s win over the Bears once again in Pharr, Texas.
The winner of the Eagles versus PSJA Bears Bi-District Championship game will face the winner of the Harlingen Cardinals and Edinburg Vela Saber Cats in the Area Championship the following week.
