20 Winn Mavericks Named to 2019 District 14-5A, Division I All-District Football Team

Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Mavericks Head Football Coach Eric Villasenor has authorized the Eagle Pass Business Journal to announce the 2019 District 14-5A, Division I All-District Football Team selections as made by the District Head Football Coaches, including 20 Winn Mavericks players receiving All-District honors.
The District 14-5A, Division I Head Football Coaches named San Antonio Harlan High School Hawks running back Aubrey “AJ” McDade as the District Most Valuable Player, Harlan Hawks quarterback Kannon Williams as the Offensive Most Valuable Player, Harlan Hawks safety Zane Svoboda as the Defensive Most Valuable Player, San Antonio Southwest Legacy High School Titans quarterback Zezar Tovar as the Offensive Newcomer of the Year, and San Antonio Southwest High School Dragons defensive lineman Lloyd Young as the Defensive Newcomer of the Year.
Named to the All-District First Team Offense are Winn Mavericks fullback Carlos A. Soto, tight end Jose Hinojosa, running back Ethan Johnston, and utility player Joe Garza.
Named to the All-District First Team Defense are Winn Mavericks defensive tackle Alejandro Ontiveros, linebacker Jared Roiz, and defensive back Angel de la Torre.
Named to the All-District Second Team Offense are Winn Mavericks quarterback Jose Padilla, wide receiver Ernesto Vasquez, offensive linemen Alejandro Ontiveros and Jaime Rodriguez.
Named to the All-District Second Team Defense are Winn Mavericks defensive tackle Isaias Flores, defensive end Jose Hinojosa, linebacker Alex Garcia, linebacker Noe Castillon, defensive back Gilbert Vasquez, and safety Eric Sanchez.
Named to the All-District Honorable Mention Team are Winn Mavericks kicker Mario Contreras, punter Emmanuel Oviedo, and wider receiver Michael Olivo.
