28 Eagle Pass Eagles Named to 2019 District 29-6A All-District Football Team

Eagle Pass High School Eagles Head Football Coach Tom Gonzalez has authorized the Eagle Pass Business Journal to announce that 28 Eagles were selected by the District Head Football Coaches to the 2019 District 29-6A All-District Football Team.
United South Panthers running back Brian Benavides was named the Offensive Most Valuable Player and teammate linebacker Jonathan Hernandez was named the Defensive Most Valuable Player. United Longhorns Luz Leal was named the Offensive Newcomer of the Year while teammates Tanner Sanchez was awarded the Most Outstanding Receiver, quarterback Wayo Huerta was tabbed as the Most Outstanding Quarterback, Alexander Bulldogs running back Camilo Pedraza was named the Most Outstanding Running Back, United South offensive tackle Joseph Amaro was awarded the Most Outstanding Lineman, Alexander Devan Ethridge was tabbed as Defensive Newcomer of the Year and teammate linebacker Marco Torres was named the Most Outstanding Linebacker, United Juan Gonzalez and United South Jorge Garcia were awarded the Most Outstanding Interior Linemen, United South Uriah Lupe was tabbed the Most Outstanding Defensive End, United South Zion Martinez was named the Most Outstanding Secondary, and United South Head Coach Joe Coss was tabbed as the Coach of the Year.
Eagle Pass Eagles named to the All-District Offensive First Team are wide receiver Jacob Ruiz, slot receiver Carlos Santos, punter Erick Ramirez, and Orly Martinez as All-District Special Teams Specialist.
Eagles named to the All-District Defensive First Team are middle linebacker Jacob Salinas, outside linebacker Joe Samaniego, safety Kristian Barcena, cornerback David Lopez, defensive end Charlie Schuessler, and defensive tackle Andres Conde.
Eagles named to the All-District Offensive Second Team are running back Isaac Caballero, slot receiver Dakota Kypuros, tackle Arnie Perez, and guard Emmanuel Balderas.
Eagles named to the All-District Defensive Second Team are defensive tackle Tommy Cantu, kicker Erick Ramirez, and cornerback Jacob Ruiz.
Eagles named to the All-District Honorable Mention team are quarterback Alan Rodriguez, fullback Saul Perales, wide receiver CGC Ritchie, tight end Domingo Fuentes, center Martin Rodriguez, guard Emmanuel Jimenez, tackle Alex Martinez, wide receiver Carlos Lopez, outside linebacker Saul Perales, defensive end MJ McGehee, strong safety Jose Hernandez, defensive tackle Santana Martinez, defensive end Nathan Aguilera, and linebacker Uriel Martinez.
