The 63rd Judicial District Attorney Michael J. “Mike” Bagley, representing Val Verde, Kinney, and Terrell Counties, announced that he is seeking re-election and the Republican Party’s nomination in the March 3, 2020 Texas Republican Party Primary Election to continue the transformation of the 63rd Judicial District Attorney’s Office and provide the administration of justice together with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, judges, citizens, and communities.
Bagley made history in November of 2016 when he ran as the Republican Party’s candidate for the 63rd Judicial District Attorney and defeated the four-term incumbent Democratic Party candidate, commencing the transformation of the 63rd Judicial District Attorney’s Office and a firm and consistent administration of justice with integrity and transparency.
Bagley has 29 years of experience as a licensed attorney in the State of Texas and has successfully tried cases before juries in state and federal courts throughout the Middle Rio Grande and South Texas region.
“After three years of non-stop dedication to the 63rd Judicial District Attorney’s Office, I am immensely proud of the hard work, numerous changes, and progress made in the administration of justice in Val Verde, Kinney, and Terrell counties. The 63rd Judicial District Attorney’s Office has developed a closer working relationship with our fellow local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and officers. Under my leadership, we have made ourselves more available and approachable for all law enforcement members, public officials, crime victims, citizens, attorneys, and courthouse staff members,” Bagley said.
“As your District Attorney, I remain dedicated to fairness and justice for all. I am steadfast to my commitment to provide firm, consistent justice with the utmost integrity and transparency. I pledge to our citizens of Val Verde, Kinney, and Terrell counties that I will continue to do my job to the best of my legal ability, skill, training, and knowledge to bring firm and fair justice to all,” Bagley said.
“Our work to transform the administration of justice within the 63rd Judicial District requires that I seek re-election to another term of four years as your District Attorney to continue the progress and reforms made during the past three years. I respectfully request the citizens of Val Verde, Kinney, and Terrell counties their support and votes in the upcoming Texas Republican Party Primary on March 3, 2020 with Early Voting commencing on February 18th and continuing until February 28th,” Bagley said.
Bagley received a Bachelor’s degree from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) in San Marcos, Texas and a Juris Doctor degree from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas.
