“We know that the coronavirus is affecting people and communities across the World. Fortunately, more than half of the people diagnosed with the coronavirus have recovered. Unfortunately, a small percentage have died, mostly elderly and others with pre-existing conditions. We encourage our residents to continue to follow proper hygiene procedures. Also, let’s not cause undue panic in our community and use common sense when shopping at local stores. I will also ask council at our Tuesday council meeting to vote for emergency contingency funding if needed for additional personnel or overtime. We will continue to monitor the situation throughout the days to come as Governor Abbott has indicated”, Said Mayor Sifuentes.
Coronavirus symptoms may show up 2-14 days after exposure and may
include fever, cough and shortness of breath. If you are in generally
good health and have a mild illness, stay home and take care of yourself
like you would for the flu. If symptoms worsen,
call your doctor.
