Maverick County Commissioners Court Approves Purchase of Disinfectant for Distribution Free of Charge to All Residents, Establishes 11 Distribution Points

Maverick County Commissioners Court approved the purchase of a large shipment of disinfectant bleach from a private company to be distributed free of charge to all County residents as a Declaration of Disaster due to the COVID-19 public health emergency at their emergency meeting held on Wednesday, March 24, 2020 at Commissioners Court.
County Judge David R. Saucedo stated that the disinfectant bleach will be distributed free of charge to all residents on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at 11 distribution points within the county starting at 1 P.M.. Judge Saucedo requested all County residents to bring with them a copy of their Eagle Pass Water Works System March 2020 water bill and an empty plastic gallon or plastic container as the County does not have any empty plastic containers. The disinfectant will be poured inside the plastic container and has a shelf life of only eight (8) days. This disinfectant kills all virus on contact and is widely used in the oil and gas industry. Residents will be limited to receiving one gallon of the disinfectant.

2. Maverick County Lake
3. Eagle Pass Junior High
4. Memorial Junior High
5. Seco Mines Community Center
6. Nick Carr Center-Ruelas Street
7. Old Eagle Pass Junior High-Del Rio Blvd.
8. Old Eagle Pass Independent School District Central Office-Edison Rd.
9. City of Eagle Pass Cruz Munoz Gymnasium
10. Quemado Community Center
11. El Indio Community Center
Distribution of the disinfectant is on Thursday, March 26, 2020 starting at 1 P.M. at these 11 distribution points throughout the County.
