Maverick County to Continue Distribution of Disinfectant on Friday, March 27th and Saturday, March 28th

Maverick County Judge David R. Saucedo announced that the first day of the distribution of the free disinfectant to Eagle Pass and Maverick County, Texas residents on Thursday, March 26, 2020 was a great success with over 3,000 gallons distributed and that distribution of the disinfectant has been extended to Friday, March 27th, from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. and on Saturday, March 28th, from 8 A.M. to 12 P.M. (Noon) at the following locations:
1. City of Eagle Pass Shelby Park
2. Old Eagle Pass Junior High-Del Rio Blvd.
3. City of Eagle Pass Cruz Antonio Munoz Gymnasium
4. Old Eagle Pass Independent School District Administration Center-Eidson Road
5. Precinct 2 Nick Carr Center-Ruela Street
6. Precinct 3 Office-3905 Deer Run Blvd.
7. Maverick County Lake
8. Eagle Pass Independent School District Student Activity Center (SAC)
9. Quemado American Legion Park, and
10. El Indio Community Center.
County Judge Saucedo advised that people bring with them a receipt of a recent utility bill to show proof of residency and an empty one gallon plastic container to any of the above locations to receive the free disinfectant for use in their homes. Saucedo noted that the shelf life of the disinfectant is only eight (8) days and should be used within that time period for it to be effective.
Saucedo added that the disinfectant is used in the oil and gas industry for disinfecting purposes. Saucedo concluded that the disinfectant is not to be used as a hand sanitizer because it is not hand sanitizer, but rather for disinfecting purposes only.
