Eagle Pass Police Department Report – May 20, 2020

Tuesday, May 19, 2020, 6:49 PM: Police units responded to the alleyway of the 600 block of Main Street in reference to a possible deceased person. Officers arrived and discovered a 33 year old male who did not display signs of life. A Justice of the Peace was summoned to the scene for the pronunciation of death and Police Investigators commenced a formal investigation. This incident currently remains under investigation. 

Tuesday, May 19, 2020, 11:03 PM: Officers responded to the Cleo’s convenience store on North Veterans Boulevard in reference to a reported aggravated robbery. Responding officers spoke with store personnel who informed officers of a male subject who entered the establishment, brandished a handgun and demanded the contents of the cash register. The male subject fled the store after obtaining only a few counter items and was apprehended shorty there after by patrol officers. The male subject is currently in police department custody and pending formal charges.
