Dr. Victoriano Valdez stated that a total of 905 people have been tested for COVID-19 in Maverick County with 677 negative results, 45 positive results, 183 pending results, 12 people have recovered, and no deaths as of May 11, 2020.
Dr. Valdez stated these “test information available lead us to believe two things, number one that the more we test the more chances we can identify positive patients, [whether] symptomatic or asymptomatic, so we can treat them accordingly, and number two that the importance to to continue the present recommendations of washing our hands, maintaining self-distancing, using a mask, sanitizing our belongings, will definitely lead a decrease of incidence of this infection.”
Dr. Valdez encourages all residents of Maverick County to stay at home and save lives.
