Public Health experts predict an increase of positive COVID-19 cases as a result of the protests being waged across the United States during the past seven days due to the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 25, 2020 when Minneapolis Police Department Officer Derek Chauvin placed his knee on his neck for almost nine minutes while handcuffed and held down by other officers, causing Floyd to asphyxiate and die.
