Deadline to Register for a Position on the Eagle Pass Independent School District Board of Trustees Election is Monday, August 17, 2020 at 5 P.M.

A total of four positions on the Eagle Pass Independent School District Board of Trustees, including Places Nos. 1, 2, 6, and 7, are up for election by Maverick County voters in the November 3, 2020 General Election.
The deadline for any interested citizen to register as a candidate for one of the four Eagle Pass Independent School District Board of Trustees’ positions is Monday, August 17, 2020 at 5 P.M. at the school district central offices located at 587 Madison Street in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Interested candidates must be a United States citizen, reside in Maverick County, be at least 18 years of age, and not be convicted of a felony criminal offense in the United States.
The Eagle Pass Independent School District Board of Trustees oversee and set all public policies of the school district composed of 24 campuses, over 14,300 students, 868 teachers, 1,932 staff employees, and an annual fiscal year budget of over $150 million.
All citizens interested in the public education of students in Maverick County and setting the educational and public policies of the local school district are encouraged to register as a candidate in one of the four places on the ballot in the November 3, 2020 General Election.
Early voting for the four Board of Trustees’ positions commences on October 13, 2020 and runs through October 30, 2020 and regular Election Day is on November 3, 2020.
All incumbents in the four places on the School Board election of November 3 have registered and are seeking re-election, including Place No. 1 Jorge Barrera, Place No. 2 Christopher Hiller, Place No. 6 Dr. Hector Alvarez, and Place No. 7 Glenna Purcell.
Deadline to register to vote in the election is October 5, 2020 with Maverick County Elections Administrator Roy Schmerber located at the historic Maverick County Courthouse, 501 Main Street, Eagle Pass, Texas.
