Eagle Pass Man Killed in Accident While Working on His Car

A 24 year-old Eagle Pass, Texas young man was killed in an accident while working on his automobile on Taft Street as the auto jack malfunctioned dropping the whole weight of the car upon his body on Saturday, August 1, 2020, according to a reliable source.
The Eagle Pass Fire Department EMS Ambulance and Rescue Team were summoned to the residence on Taft Street after receiving a 911 call.
The Eagle Pass Police Department also responded to the 911 call at the Taft Street location.
Unfortunately, the young man died at the scene of the accident at his residence from the weight of the automobile that he had been working on fell upon him and crushed his body. The young man was underneath the vehicle making some mechanical repairs when suddenly the auto jack holding up the vehicle malfunctioned, dropping the automobile upon his body.
A Maverick County Justice of the Peace pronounced the young man deceased.
The Eagle Pass Police Department is investigating the accident.
