Last Chance to Register as a Candidate for the Maverick County Hospital District Board of Directors Election is Monday, August 17, 2020 at 5 P.M.

A total of three positions on the Maverick County Hospital District Board of Directors are up for election by registered Maverick County voters in the November 3, 2020 General Election.
The Maverick County Hospital District was founded in 1965 by the Texas legislature to provide hospital and medical services to the indigent and needy people of Maverick County.
The deadline to register as a candidate on the ballot for the Maverick County Hospital District Board of Directors is Monday, August 17, 2020 at 5 P.M. at the District office located at 3406 Bob Rogers Drive, Suite 230, Eagle Pass, Texas 78852, telephone number (830) 757-4900.
Any interested person in registering as a candidate for the Maverick County Hospital District Board of Directors must be 18 years or older, a United States citizen, a resident of Maverick County, and not have been convicted of a felony criminal offense.
Early voting for the Maverick County Hospital District Board of Directors election starts on October 13 and runs through October 30, 2020 and regular Election Day is November 3, 2020.
Although the Maverick County Hospital District no longer owns a public hospital, it does provide important medical services to the needy residents of Maverick County such as the Primary Care Services Clinic, the Physician Specialty Group, Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention Program, the Oncology Treatment Clinic, the Ryan White HIV-Aids Program, the Diabetes Self-Management and Nutrition Program, General Surgery, Urology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine, Behavioral Health, and other health programs. The District operates an annual fiscal budget of over $15 million.
