Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 57 Reported on September 8, 2020

Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber reported a two-vehicle accident on Highway 57 South near the Maverick County and Zavala County line on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at approximately 10 P.M.
Schmerber stated Maverick County Sheriff Department Deputies received a call and responded to the accident scene, finding both vehicles rolled over.
Schmerber added one vehicle is a Chevrolet Avalanche and the other vehicle is a Ford Focus. Both drivers and some passengers appeared to have received injuries in the accident.
Eagle Pass Fire Department EMS Ambulance was summoned to the accident scene and transported some of the injured persons to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center in Eagle Pass, Texas for medical treatment of their injuries.
No fatalities were reported as a result of the auto accident.
The accident is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
