Free COVID-19 Tests in Maverick County by State of Texas

The Texas Division of Emergency Management Services has contracted a private company, Curative, to administer free COVID-19 tests to all Maverick County citizens who wish to get tested starting on Monday, November 30, 2020 at four local sites, announced Maverick County Judge David R. Saucedo.
The four sites selected for the free COVID-19 tests are Seco Mines Community Center located at 2089 Sanchez Avenue, Eagle Pass, Texas; Maverick County Lake located at 2350 E. Main Street, Eagle Pass, Texas; Nick Carr Sports Complex located at 701 Potro Street (Loma Bonita Subdivision), Eagle Pass, Texas; and Casino Grocery No. 1 located at the intersection of El Indio Highway (FM) and FM 2030 (Chula Vista Subdivision), Eagle Pass, Texas.
The four COVID-19 test sites will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.
Persons requesting COVID-19 testing do not need to have any of the recognized symptoms of the virus such as sore throat, fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea. All persons who request a COVID-19 test will be given one free of charge.
The COVID-19 test to be administered is a pain-free mouth swab, results will be given within 24-48 hours, and participants are asked not to consume food, drinks, or smoke cigarettes at least 20 minutes before testing.
Interested persons may make an appointment for the COVID-19 test at www.curative.com, although no appointments are required. Walk-ins are accepted. The Curative COVID-19 Test sites will be a self-contained Kiosk. All Maverick County citizens are invited to come and get tested for COVID-19 free of charge.
