The joint City of Eagle Pass and Maverick County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) announced that Maverick County citizens who are disabled, elderly, and homebound will be receiving their COVID-19 vaccine by Texas National Guard medical personnel during March 17-18, 2021, announced Eagle Pass City Council member Elias Diaz.
Diaz stated EOC is compiling a list of Maverick County citizens who are unable to travel outside their homes to obtain the COVID-19 vaccine due to a disability, geriatric condition such as being elderly, homebound, or do not drive or own an automobile.
Diaz added that Texas National Guard medical personnel will arrive in Eagle Pass to administer the COVID-19 vaccine at eligible people’s homes during Wednesday and Thursday, March 17-18, 2021.
Diaz encouraged Maverick County citizens who are disabled, elderly, and homebound and want to get the COVID-19 vaccine at their home to contact EOC Co-Director Leopoldo “Polo” Vielma by telephone at (830) 776-1518 to register for this vaccine program.
