City of Eagle Pass Main Street Program Director Joe Cruz announced that the city will host the Third Annual Dog Days of Summer Festival on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, from 8 p.m. to 12 p.m. in downtown Eagle Pass at the 300 block of Main Street between the Eagle Pass Public Library and IBC Bank-Downtown Branch, featuring live music, food trucks, refreshments, classic car show, fun and games for the whole family, and presentation of the 10 national teams participating in the 2021 Babe Ruth Baseball 13-15 Year Old World Series.
Cruz noted that live music and entertainment will be provided by two local bands, Pin and Unchained, at the block party to bid farewell to the summer and start of the new school year. The Dog Days of Summer Festival is open to the public and admission is free.
One of the highlights of the festival is a classic car show under the evening lights of downtown Main Street sponsored by the Eagle Pass Jeep Club with all types of muscle and classic cars on display competing for top prizes. You don’t want to miss the classic car show.
Cruz added that many local food vendors and food trucks will be offering their finest cuisine to attendees hungry for a diverse menu. You will not be disappointed with the broad and diverse offering of cuisines and flavors. Refreshments will also be available, including cold brews by local downtown businesses.
There will be music, food, refreshments, cars, fun and games for the whole family at the Dog Days of Summer Festival. Come on out and enjoy the Dog Days of Summer before the school year starts.
