Eagle Pass City Officials Visit McAllen for New Ideas

Eagle Pass Mayor Rolando Salinas, Jr. announced on his Facebook Page that a delegation of City of Eagle Pass officials visited the City of McAllen, Texas on Thursday, October 28, 2021 on a fact finding mission to learn what programs and ideas the City of McAllen has implemented to promote economic development and international trade in its community.
The Eagle Pass delegation included Mayor Rolando Salinas, Jr., Mayor Pro-Tem Yolanda P. Ramon, Councilman William Davis, City Manager George Antuna, Assistant City Manager Ivan Morua, City Economic Development Director Arturo Marquez, City Marketing Director Aide Castano, Eagle Pass Water Works System Director Jorge Barrera, and Eagle Pass Water Works System Board of Trustee Johnny Ruiz.
The Eagle Pass delegation were welcomed and hosted by McAllen Mayor Javier Villalobos, City Commissioners Pepe Cabeza de Vaca, Victor Haddad, Tony Aguirre, and City Manager Roel Roy Rodriguez.
Mayor Salinas stated “McAllen has experienced substantial economic growth in recent years and they were kind enough to share their ideas and platforms with our city officials.”
Mayor Salinas added that “we want to make sure we have all the tools necessary to ensure the growth and prosperity of Eagle Pass.”
Mayor Salinas noted the fact finding mission to McAllen had been very successful and thanked McAllen Mayor Javier Villalobos and the entire City of McAllen for their outstanding presentation of their city programs and hospitality.
